Building a Shop, Shop Plans attached (Tran Project)
Ok, here are the plans I spoke of last week. Let me know what you think. You can see all of them on my website. My boy did the computer ones in ACAD in school. The hand drawn ones came out light so they might be hard to see. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0df32b3127ccef94eb2b6325e00000040O10Qbt3...

Re: H3 Hummer
I generally don't ever go against the popular vote from you all but.... I got me a 2007 H3 Hummer this weekend! :muhaha: :D I got it at a Ford Dealer below trade in value (as seen on Edmunds). Very, Very happy. It is an awesome ride. It is almost too nice to take off road. I will say you can do nice...

Re: 383 dual TBI
Got it all drawn up. Three phases. Seems like there is a lot of interest in the shop so I will start a thread about that and post the drawings/photos. Looks like it will be spring before I can break ground. It's got to be froze 4 feet down. i'm building it myself so it too will go slow. Thanks for t...

H3 Hummer
I wanted to get my friends opinion on the H3. I have been looking for a newer vehicle for myself but really don't like the GM's line up on SUV's. While out looking on a used lot I saw the H3. I really like how it looks, interior, clearance and even though they are a bunch of money (18-20K for a prev...

Re: 97 Astro Engine Replace, Repair or Buy Another Van
I drove the van about 100 miles this far and it looks like it used 1 or 2 pints. It was down around the bottom of the neck of the radiator. The coolant overflow was down some too. I did buy the gasket sealer stuff above ($29.99) and I will put it in after I change the thermostat Saturday. I bought t...

Re: 97 Astro Engine Replace, Repair or Buy Another Van
Digging up old posts.... Hey, at least I do searches... I just got a new to me, a very much previously enjoyed 1999 AWD stro for $2k (140k) but had to put a lot of work into it mechanically. The previous owners drove it. Done Shocks brakes rear end (swapped out of the 98) fuel tank (I had a new fuel...

Re: 98 2wd and 99 AWD gear ratio
Both vans have the GU6 3.42 RPO code. So I think i'm ok. I will jack the van up, remove the drive shaft and rotate the tire one full turn and count the turns of the yoke to make sure that they are the same. I think I have to block the opposing wheel for this to work right, right?

98 2wd and 99 AWD gear ratio
What are the chances that the rear end in my 98 2WD will fit in the new 99 AWD? Someone said that the RPO code is GU5 for 3.23 and GU6 is for 3.42 gears. Is that correct? I just bought the 99AWD with 140k on it for 2K but it turns out there are several things that need done to it. Someone had instal...
